I haven’t come close to trying everything at Disney World or have even gone to all the resorts to see what they offer, but here is a list of some of my FAVORITE foods that I can’t miss out on when I go to Disney World.
1. Fantasyland: Pinocchio Village Haus – BBQ Chicken Pizza.
I went to this restaurant to get their chicken nuggets one day and they were advertising this pizza. I love a good BBQ Chicken Pizza back home so I had to try this. It was the best I’ve had and I have to have it every time I go back.
2. Blizzard Beach: Giant Doughnut with an Iced Coffee
I just got back from Blizzard Beach not that long ago. It was my first time there. I got up early in the morning to head to the water park so I could have lots of time to ride the water slides, but this meant I was super hungry when I got to the park. I found a cute little hut selling these GIANT doughnuts. This was the best doughnut I’ve had in my entire life. They also had the best Iced Coffee. Believe it or not, I would go here to get my breakfast before going to another park.
3. Frontierland: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café – Barbecued Pork Sandwich
Looking for a frontier sandwich? Make your way over to Frontierland and get this sandwich. You must!
4. Fantasyland: Friar’s Nook - Bacon Cheeseburger Macaroni & Cheese
Mmmmmm… gourmet Macaroni & Cheese. This totally hit the spot. I’m looking forward to getting this again when I go back.
5. Adventureland: Aloha Isle – Dole Whip
Ok, I just recently had my first Dole Whip…. Words can’t even describe how wonderful it was. Warning: once you go Dole Whip, it will change your life.
6. Liberty Square: Columbia Harbour House: Battered Fish Plate
I’ve had Fish and Chips at a couple places in Disney and this is by far the best place to get Fish and Chips. It’s delicious and the atmosphere is really nice.
7. Liberty Square: Sleepy Hollow – Sweet and Spicy Chicken w/waffle
I was pretty skeptical when I first got this dish because I had no idea how these two items would go together. The first taste was so good and you get a lot of food with this one. The sauce that they put on this sandwich really makes it pop!
8. Pop Century Resort: Turkey Sandwich (Oven-roasted Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread Stuffing, Cranberry Mayonnaise, and Watercress on Texas Toast)
I was looking for a little bit of thanksgiving during the non-thanksgiving season and this sounded perfect to me. This sandwich is just like the day after thanksgiving! It’s a cold sandwich but it’s incredible.
9. Typhoon Lagoon: Leaning Palms: Island Burger (Monterey Jack Cheese, BBQ Pork and Pineapple)
I was looking for a sandwich that was pretty weird and would get me in the mood of the park so I ordered this sandwich. The best part of this sandwich is the pineapple with all the other ingredients. It ended up not being too weird, but very yummy.
10. Epcot (Holiday’s Around The World) Savory Seasonal Waffle – Turkey Waffle with Stuffing Batter, Gravy, and Cranberry Relish.
This was a special sandwich for the holidays. I was at the park around thanksgiving and what could be better than thanksgiving dinner in waffle form? I have been craving this sandwich ever since I’ve had it and that was years ago. Best sandwich ever!!
